  1. Create stuff. One or more web pages equal a Website.
  2. Save and connect using FTP. (File Transfer Protocol)
  3. Upload to the Internet.

Terminology

HTML - (stands for Hyptext Mark-up Language) a standardized system for tagging text files to display fonts, color, graphics, and hyperlink effects on WWW pages.

HTML tags - An HTML code that defines every structure on an HTML page, including the placement of text and images and hypertext links.

Text formatting - Normal text that changes to look different. Anytime you format something, you change the way it looks.

TERM DEFINITION
Browser - application used to access the Internet and view web pages
URL - stands for Uniform Resource Locator and is the www address of a website
File extension - a group of letters occurring after a period in a file name, indicating the format of the file
Hyperlink - a link from a hypertext file or document to another location or file, typically activated by clicking on a highlighted word or image on the screen
